Summary
You know, I picked this Nibav elevator because the installation looked to be a lot smoother, a lot less invasive to the house. Yeah, for me, it was important because I have my son who lives here. He lives downstairs.
He has an apartment down there.
Well, I had the open heart surgery a few years ago, and I take a lot of medication. Going downstairs was starting to become a little bit of an issue for me. But now that I know I can just jump in the elevator and come down, it’s perfect. It gives you a lot of peace of mind. Yeah, I think what attracted me to the Nibav elevator was the fact that it didn’t have all the cables and, you know, the hydraulic lifts and stuff that the other ones that I’d seen.
And for me, it just seemed a very clean design, very smooth, fit in well with the architecture of this house. Well, it’s a, you know, it’s a home that’s got a lot of wood. And so I went with the upgrade to get the wood look of the elevator. And it complements it very well. People who have come into the sort of lobby area of my house are just sort of blown away. They think I’m Batman.
You know, it is a pretty stunning looking piece of equipment. So when people come in, the first thing they say is, is that an elevator? And I go, yeah, of course, it’s an elevator. I kind of explain to them, it’s like the old Costco tube that you put the money in and go shooting up like that. So, yeah, they’re blown away by it. And it seems incredibly safe. You know, it’s a vacuum system, so there’s no cables, there’s no nothing to get in the way. And I haven’t had any issues.
I haven’t really tested whether it needs to be safer than it already is. But, yeah, it’s smooth, it comes down gently and seems quite safe. Well, I kind of really wanted to future proof my house because I’ve been here for 35 years. I love it out here and I liked it because it seemed to be the least invasive of a build. I didn’t have to have cables and motors and all the rest. So, yeah, I did it for future proofing. And so far, I’m very happy with it.
